Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives say they have received numerous reports from residents in Coram and Middle Island that a man entered homes through unlocked doors or windows during overnight hours between Sunday, May 5 and Sunday, Nov. 10.

At least eight homes were entered, police say.

In two of the incidents, the man allegedly made non-sexual physical contact with female residents before fleeing, possibly on a bicycle, police say.

In the other six incidents, police say the man fled the home after being confronted by a resident.
