Man Found Dead After Long Island Expressway Crash In Nassau County

A man was found dead after a crash on the Long Island Expressway overnight.

A tractor-trailer traveling westbound on the Long Island Expressway near Exit 34 on Monday, March 1 at 11 p.m. in Manhasset when it left the roadway, went through a wooded area, and came to a rest on the south service road of the expressway, Nassau County Police said. 

Upon arrival at the scene, Nassau County Police officers discovered the body of the driver, a 76-year-old man, who appeared to have suffered a medical emergency and was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

His name has not yet been released.
