Andrew Quattrone, age 41 of Manorville, received his four-and-a-half year prison sentence for texting the Wantagh teen on Tuesday, May 7, the Nassau County District Attorney announced.
Late on the night of January 20, 2022, a 16-year-old girl received a sexually explicit text message, which included a graphic picture, from Quattrone to her phone.
He continued to send her such messages, the DA said, before agreeing to meet up with the teen the next day.
On the evening of January 21, 2022, Quattrone met with the girl and asked her to get in his car. When the teen approached him with two of her friends, he fled the scene instead.
Quattrone was arrested in Bayshore the next day.
“Andrew Quattrone sent sexually charged, obscene late-night messages to a sixteen-year-old victim and drove the following day to meet her in person. When the victim showed up with a pair of male friends, Quattrone fled,” said DA Anne T Donnelly.
“He could not, however, evade prosecution and will now spend years in prison for his sickening conduct.”
Quattrone pleaded guilty to the following in November 2023:
- Disseminating indecent material to minors, first- and second-degree;
- Disseminating indecent material to minors as a sexually motivated felony; and
- Endangering the welfare of a child.
In addition to his sentence, Quattrone will face eight years of post-release supervision and a stay-away order or protection was issued on behalf of the teen victim.
Furthermore, he will be required to register as a sex offender.
