For a favorite nosh or heartier appetite, here are five Jewish delis to try in Nassau. The suggestions are from Long Island Foodies members on Facebook.

Pastrami King, 196 Merrick Road, Merrick: Pastrami sandwiches and matzoh ball soup are served on white linens here.

In a Yelp post, Stacy K. of Oceanside says, "If you are craving pastrami, deli, matzoh ball soup, knishes, look no further, my friend. This is a great choice for that and so much more."

Lido Kosher Deli, 641 E. Park Ave., Long Beach: Well-established Jewish deli serving stacked sandwiches comfort food.

"... totally number one. Take it from a real pastrami connoisseur. Best fries anywhere. Well done," said Jordan Price in a post on the food group's page.

Steve Siegel in a comment on the food group's page said, "Best pastrami and sweet potato fries. And Dr. Brown. Take it from a Long Beechite."

Pastrami Express, 3882 Merrick Road, Seaford : Nancy Borock Ami on the Long Island Foodies page said the deli is "Number one in my book for their tongue alone. LOL. I judge delis by their tongue."

Woodro Kosher Restaurant & Caterers, 1441 Broadway, Hewlett: This is a family-owned deli with a variety of traditional and modern kosher fare.

According to Nina Gordon in a Google review, "The pastrami sandwich was delicious. The meat was tender and lean and so flavorful, and the portions are so generous that there was plenty for lunch and enough to have dinner as well. This place is a gem."

Ben's Kosher Delicatessen Restaurant & Caterers, 59 Old Country Road, Carle Place: It's a kosher deli chain serving entrees, sandwiches, soups, and sides.

Cory Sussman in a Google review noted, "  I love their pastrami extra lean and their chicken Marsala is pretty good. They give you coleslaw and pickles and bread on the tables with your meal."
