Mount Kisco Medical Group is a multi-specialty medical group practice serving Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess, Columbia and Ulster Counties in New York.

As part of the group’s growth, Montalto will provide MKMG with additional expertise as the organization continues to expand. MKMG now comprises more than 500 physicians and expert health partners in over 40 locations. Montalto will assist Chief Executive Officer, Scott D. Hayworth, MD, FACOG as MKMG undertakes new initiatives to meet the needs of patients and providers in the continuously-evolving healthcare industry. Her responsibilities will include strategic planning, corporate communications, analytics, provider recruitment, and coordination of key external relationships.

“The Mount Kisco Medical Group (MKMG) is the largest, independent multi-specialty medical group in New York State. We are dedicated to program development and growth opportunities as a physician-driven organization and Donna’s executive talents along with her longevity working in association management for physicians and providers will help us accomplish our organization’s goals," Dr. Hayworth said. “With Donna as part of the team, we can continue to excel at our primary mission: growing our network of people and facilities dedicated to providing the highest standards of care to our patients, while maintaining the personal touch that comes from being close to home.

For 21 years prior to joining MKMG, Montalto served as the Executive Director of the New York State District II of the American College/Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and served as its government and public policy leader for an additional four years. ACOG District II serves more than 4,300 obstetrician-gynecologists in New York State.

Montalto holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from SUNY Albany. She is a 2007 graduate of the Empire State Society of Association Executive’s Leadership Program, a graduate of U.S. Senator Richard G. Lugar Excellence in Public Service Series, and a 1997-98 graduate of Leadership Saratoga. She serves on numerous medical and community boards including Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Advisory Board, the Saratoga Hospital Board of Trustees Executive Committee, and the Center for Women and Government in Civil Society of SUNY Albany.

Montalto also worked for NYS Senate Majority Leader Joseph Bruno, where she was responsible for developing women’s healthcare policy and legislation. She is most often credited with writing the laws guaranteeing all maternity patients a 48/96 hour hospital stay after childbirth and assuring that all newborns are prenatally screened for HIV infection.

Montalto also served as principal staff for the first bipartisan statewide conference committee on women’s health. After she returned to ACOG, she led the development of the nationally known Safe Motherhood Initiative: a multi-million dollar initiative that uses standardized obstetric protocols to review and reduce maternal mortality.
