Christopher Poore, of Bridgeton, was heading east on Route 40 when he struck Allen Miller Jr., 45, near milepost 20.5 in Pittsgrove around 3 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, New Jersey State Police said. Coroner IDs Driver Killed When Car Overturns In Embankment In Upper Macungie A 66-year-old motorist was killed when their vehicle slid off the roadway and went down an embankment Saturday night, Oct. 5, officials said. Stephen La Pierre, of Upper Macungie Township, was operating the vehicle that went off the roadway on Tilghman Street and into an embankment, overturning and ejecting him around 10 p.m., Lehigh County Coroner Daniel Buglio said. The cause of death is Multiple Blunt Force Injuries. The manner of death is Accident.
