3 Hudson Valley Companies Announce Around 300 Layoffs
Several hundred Hudson Valley workers will lose their jobs as three companies, either close, merge or cutback on production. The companies, all located in Orange County, Frito-Lay and Gen-Pak, both in Middletown, and Amscan in Newburgh, filed WARN Notices with the state that inform them of upcoming layoffs. A 16-month-old Hudson Valley boy was severely burned during an accident at his home. The incident took place in Orange County around 3 p.m., Monday, Dec. 4 in New Windsor.
