Premium sake maker Dassai has opened a new state-of-the-art brewery and tasting room in the Hudson Valley while launching its premium brand Dassai Blue. $23K In Fines Issued To Spring Valley Landlord Housing Migrants, Officials Say Hudson Valley government officials are calling for an investigation after a large number of migrants were found living in what is supposed to be a three-bedroom home. An inspection by the Rockland County Office of Buildings and Codes is issuing a $23,000 fine to Schloima Koppel, the same landlord housing 31 people in a New City single-family property, resulting from 32 violations found at Koppel’s Spring Valley rental at 8 W. 11-Year-Old Girl Killed In 4-Vehicle Woodbury Crash That Injured Several Others An 11-year-old girl was killed and numerous others injured when a driver allegedly crossed into another lane hitting two vehicles and then struck a fourth head-on, police say. The crash took place in Orange County in the town of Woodbury around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23. Man Nabbed For Robbing Milford Bank With Help From Social Media, Police Say A man wanted for allegedly pulling off an armed robbery in Connecticut in August has been caught by police with the help of social media. Litchfield County resident Bamm Oh, aka, Paul Bamm Oh, age 45, of Torrington, was scooped up on Thursday, Sept. 21, for the New Haven County robbery of the Devon Branch of the Milford Bank in Milford. According to Milford Police, Oh walked into the bank and handed the teller a note indicating he was armed and would her if she did not comply and give him money. 64-Year-Old Killed In Crawford Crash When Truck Crosses Center Lane, Police Say A man from the region was killed in a Hudson Valley crash when his vehicle was hit by a 2006 International truck that crossed the center line for an unknown reason, police said. Loch Sheldrake Attacks Deputies After Narcan Brings Him Back To Life, Police Say A 40-year-old who overdosed on drugs and was brought back to life with Narcan allegedly attacked deputies who saved him, police said. The incident took place in Sullivan County in Lake Kiamesha around 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19 on Route 42. Man Nabbed With Gun, Ammo After Running Red Light In New City, Police Say A 38-year-old man was nabbed with a Colt 9mm semiautomatic revolver during a traffic stop in the Hudson Valley. Man Used Stolen Credit Cards In Islandia, Central Islip, Police Say Police on Long Island are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly used a stolen credit card to make purchases at different stores. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives said the man used the card in Islandia and Central Islip. 23-Year-Old Montville Woman Busted For Attacking, Contacting Ex-Significant Other, Police Say A 23-year-old Connecticut woman has been charged twice on two separate occasions for allegedly first attacking and then contacting her ex-significant other. The incident began in New London County in the town of Griswold on Thursday, Sept. 14.
