NORTH HALEDON, N.J. —Peter Broers, 59, of North Haledon, died Oct. 18. Born in Paterson, he lived in Florida before moving to North Haledon to be with his family.
Prior to his retirement, he ran a self-employed cleaning service.
He is survived by his father, Kenneth Broers; and brothers, Kenneth Broers and Douglas Broers.

RIDGEWOOD, N.J. — John F. Kraft, 54, of Ridgewood, died Oct. 15. He was born May 5, 1962, in Yonkers, but resided in Ridgewood for more than 45 years.
He served his country in the U.S. Navy and worked as a manufacturing plant foreman for Trolex Corporation in Elmwood Park.

NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. — Wanda D. LaMattina, 96, of North Arlington, died Monday, Oct. 17. Born in Newark, she lived in North Arlington since 1951.
Before retiring in 1985, she worked as an assistant for Walter Kidde in Belleville. Earlier, she worked as a shop steward for R.C.A. in Harrison.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph LaMattina.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Nicholas Coppola, 92, of East Rutherford, died Oct. 16. For more than five years, he worked for H&G Brush Co. of Belleville in the maintenance department, retiring at 65. GARFIELD, N.J. — Lukasz Wyrzykowski, 27, of Garfield, died Oct. 16. Wyrzykowski was born Nov. 27, 1988, in Podlaska, Poland, to Waldemar and Maria (Olesiejuk) Wyrzykowski. At the age of 10, he moved to the United States, where he made many friends throughout the years.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. — Philip L. Gerardi, 85, of Poughkeepsie, died Tuesday, Oct. 18. He was born Sept. 17, 1931, in Brooklyn, the son of the late James and Angelina Rizzo Gerardi.
He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953 until he was honorably discharged in 1961. He went on to join the Tile Layers Local #52, where he was a longtime member, and worked throughout New York City and Long Island until his retirement.
