LEONIA, N.J. -- Harold Hellman, 89, of Leonia, died Oct. 15.
He was born in the Bronx.
Hellman was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.
A graduate of Hunter College and Steven's Institute of Technology, he earned master's degrees in physics and business administration. He was a freelance science writer who published more than 30 books in science and technology and countless articles in major science publications.
He was predeceased by his wife, Sheila Almer Hellman.

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Todd V. Clark, 53, of Poughkeepsie, died Friday, Oct. 14.
He was born May 30, 1963, in Oyster Bay, the son of Lawrence and the late Gertrude (Levy) Clark.
Clark was employed by Perkins-Gordon Food Service as a sales representative. He was a local resident for 16 years previously of Rockland County. He loved to work on antique cars.

HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Elbert Henry Lindros, 89, of Hyde Park, died Saturday, Oct. 15.
He was born May 30, 1927, in Pleasant Valley, to the late William and Belle Wilson Lindros Sr.
For more than 20 years, he worked as a self-employed carpenter.
He is survived by his brother, John E. Lindros; his companion of 38 years, Nancy McHugh; and his niece, JoAnne Steele.
He was predeceased by one brother and one sister.

Born Dec.16, 1921, in Guayaquil, Ecuador, to the late Fidel and Mercedes Tobar , she moved to the United States in 1970.
