Man's Body Found In Wooded Area In Hudson Valley Authorities are investigating the death of a man known for living off the grid after his body was discovered in a wooded area in Northern Westchester.  The body was found on Friday, Dec. 29 around 2 p.m. in a wooded region in the Crompond area near the Yorktown and Cortlandt border, Yorktown Police announced.  The department made the discovery after the elderly man's friends reported that he had missed several lunch gatherings, police said. Man Jumps To Death From Bear Mountain Bridge A 48-year-old man jumped to his death from a Hudson Valley bridge. The incident took place on Friday, Nov. 10 at the Bear Mountain Bridge near in the town of Cortlandt in Northern Westchester County. According to New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks, New Jersey resident Aleksey P. Mikhaylov, of Northvale, was located and pronounced dead at the scene.   No signs of foul play were discovered at this time, Hicks said.
