Homicide Fugitive Nabbed In Hudson Valley, Police Say A woman who has been on the run for allegedly killing her boyfriend was nabbed in the region. Stephanie M. Vance, age 26, of the city of Philadelphia in Neshoba County, Mississippi, was apprehended by Dutchess County Sheriff's deputies in the town of Pleasant Valley on Thursday, Jan. 11 on a homicide warrant from the State of Mississippi. According to Capt. John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office, the department received a call from authorities in Mississippi saying they believed Vance was possibly in the Dutchess County area. Man Assaults Victim With Hammer In Domestic Dispute, Police Say A 34-year-old man was arrested after assaulting another person with a hammer during a domestic dispute, according to the New York State Police. James M. Macisaac of Pine Plains was arrested Sunday for the attack with took place on Friday, July 13, in Pine Plains, said Trooper AJ Hicks. Troopers were alerted to the attack when nurses at Northern Dutchess Hospital reported a possible victim of domestic violence, Hicks said. An investigation found the victim was assaulted by Macisaac with a hammer, he said. Macisaac was then located at his residence on Church Street and arrested and charged …

Two Students Charged In Threats To Hudson Valley Schools Two students were arrested in unrelated incidents for threatening area schools in the Pine Plains and BOCES school districts, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. The first incident took place around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday when deputies responded to the BOCES Tech Center in the Town of Hyde Park for a report of someone making threats of “shooting up the school” via Snapchat, said Capt.
