Watch: Woman Abandons Cat Next To Trash Cans In Albany
Police are asking for help identifying a woman seen on surveillance video abandoning a cat next to garbage cans in the region. The incident, which was reported by Albany Police on Tuesday, March 7, happened on Friday, Jan. 27, on Sherman Street near Henry Johnson Boulevard, according to police. Investigators said the woman placed a female cat into a duffel bag style carrier and then left the animal next to garbage cans on the street. Video of the incident can be viewed here. Embattled New York Congressman George Santos once lied in a Seattle courtroom to help a Brazilian man who admitted to making fraudulent credit cards, Politico reports. A bear in New York can add property damage to his rap sheet after (allegedly) breaking into and damaging a vehicle in the Hudson Valley. The hairy situation unfolded Friday, Sept. 23, in Ulster County, in the town of Hurley. Officers with the state’s Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) responded to a 911 call about a bear that had broken into a vehicle. When Long Island resident Stefanie Whitley’s doorbell rang in the middle of the night, she never could’ve expected who she’d find. Police Investigating Abuse Of 'Severely Injured' Puppy Found In Schenectady
A 10-to-14-week-old puppy is recovering after police in the Capital District found her suffering from severe abuse, authorities said. Schenectady Police were called Tuesday, Aug. 9, and found the animal severely injured and unable to stand on her own. Animal Control officers removed the dog and brought her to the emergency vet, where she received critical, lifesaving treatment, police said. Officials said the animal had fractures and bruises in various stages of healing, an indication that the abuse had occurred over a period of time.
