Police received a report at around 1:30 p.m. of an individual armed with a handgun on the property of a private residence located at 721 North Wilton Road, according to a press release from Chief Leon Krolikowski.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers found an individual who had been the victim of a gunshot wound, police said. The person was treated at the scene but did not survive.
"This is an active investigation," Krolikowski said. "No additional information will be released until this investigation is further along."
