Driver, Passengers Avoid Serious Injury After Car Flips In Hunterdon County [Photos] A sedan driver and passengers miraculously avoided serious injuries after the car overturned in Hunterdon County Wednesday afternoon. The West Amwell Fire Company rushed to the crash scene on Mt. Airy Harbourton Road in Lambertville around 2:30 p.m. Emergency crews ensured “within minutes” that all occupants had safely escaped the overturned vehicle, the fire company said. Meanwhile, additional members worked to secure the vehicle’s battery and clean up a fluid leak. Photos: Missing Delaware River Tuber Found Safe Rescue crews in Hunterdon County successfully located a Delaware River tuber that had been reported missing Wednesday night. The West Amwell Fire Company responded to the Lambertville Boat Club to search for the tuber, who was reported missing shortly before 10 p.m., authorities said. The fire company was assisted by rescue crews in New Hope as well as a water search crew, who surveyed the portion of the river between the Lambertville Boat Club and the Stockton Bridge, authorities said. Photos: Crews Douse Hunterdon County Car Fire Fire crews in Hunterdon County made quick work of a large vehicle fire that broke out in Lambertville Wednesday evening. Members of the West Amwell Fire Company responded to the blaze on Rocktown Lambertville Road just before 4:45 p.m., the department said in a Facebook post. Fire crews stretched 200 feet of fire hose to help douse the blaze, which was placed under control within 20 minutes, authorities said. Additional crew members arrived at the scene to assist with overhaul, and all units were cleared by around 5:40 p.m., authorities said.
