Fire Destroys Warren County Home Multiple fire departments battled a house fire in Washington Borough on Monday, March 13, authorities said. At 1:31 p.m., the Washington Borough Fire Department, Washington Emergency Squad and the Washington Township Police Department were dispatched to Ramapo Way. 1 Hospitalized, Cat Treated For Smoke Inhalation In Massive Warren County House Fire (Photos) One person was hospitalized and a cat was treated for smoke inhalation Wednesday night following a massive house fire in Warren County, authorities said. The two-alarm fire broke out at a home on Chaucer Drive in Independence Township shortly after 8:10 p.m., initial reports said. The local first aid squad rushed to the scene and immediately requested backup to provide the full extent of their rescue and rehabilitation services, the squad said. Pedestrian, 59, Hospitalized After Being Struck By PA Driver In Warren County, Police Say A 59-year-old pedestrian was hospitalized after being hit by a PA driver in Warren County Monday night, authorities said. Raymond Hahn, 61, of Tyler Hill, PA was behind the wheel of a 2005 Saturn Vue when he hit Lawrence Walls, 59, on the 100 block of Rt. 31 north just before 11 p.m., Washington Township police said. Walls, of Port Murray, had been walking southbound in the travel lane of Rt. 31 at the time, police said.
