9/11 First Responder, Marine Corps Veteran Scott Donnenberg Of Hunterdon County Dies, 49 9/11 first responder, proud Marine Corps veteran, and devoted father Scott Matthew Donnenberg died at his Hunterdon County home on Thursday, Jan. 19. He was 49. Born in Livingston, Scott grew up in Parsippany before moving to Glen Gardner and eventually settling in Clinton, his obituary says. Scott was a US Marine Corps Veteran and “loved being a Marine,” reads his memorial. While he spent most of his career as the owner of an Environmental Health & Safety business, he also volunteered as a firefighter and EMT in several towns across the state and was a 9/11 first responder.
