New Forecast: Increased Snowfall Totals Expected, Arctic Temps To Follow Northeast Storm
Newly-released forecast maps show parts of the region could see up to six inches of snow in the end-of-week storm.
Intermittent snow is expected to begin between 4 and 7 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, with the heaviest amounts falling in the afternoon, the National Weather Service said.
Snow will fall at about 0.5 inches per hour and will taper by the evening, with temps in the upper 20s and low 30s, the NWS said.

Truck Hauling Mobile Home Comes Loose On Rt. 206, Closing Both Sides For Hours: Njsp
A mobile home being hauled by a truck became dislodged on Route 206 before dawn Friday, July 7, shutting down both sides of the highway for hours, state police said.
The accident occurred on the northbound side near milepost 123 in Sandyston just before 3 a.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry told Daily Voice.
Two axles from the trailer became dislodged and came to a stop, blocking both north and southbound lanes.
The closure lasted over six hours, and the roadway was reopened shortly before 9:20 a.m., Curry said.

Mike D'Amore was being mourned by many after an ATV crash that killed him in Lacey.
D'Amore, 58, of Jackson, was riding on a 2019 Polaris Razor side-by-side off road vehicle, in an open dirt area of Lacey Materials when he hit a dirt embankment and went airborne around 5:20 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, local police said.

One person was killed and several injured, some seriously, in a Route 80 crash Sunday, Sept. 18 on Route 80, authorities said.
A Toyota Venza was westbound when it veered off the road and struck a tree around 8:40 a.m. near milepost 8.4, New Jersey State Police Trooper Brandi Slota said.
The front seat passenger died while two backseat passengers, a 28-year-old woman from Williamsville, NY, and a 28-year-old North Carolina resident, suffered serious injuries and were airlifted to nearby hospitals, Slota said.
