The blaze was reported just after 5:10 a.m. Monday at a home in Union Township, the Pattenburg Volunteer Fire Company said on Facebook. “Within minutes our Chief and Deputy were on scene,” the company said. After discovering heavy smoke in the crawl space and billowing flames from the floor, fire crews had to tear up insulation before working on dousing the blaze. Photos: Two-Alarm Fire Destroys Hunterdon County Veteran’s Home More than a dozen fire companies responded to the scene of a fully-involved two alarm fire in Bethlehem Township that destroyed a Vietnam War veteran's home Thursday morning, authorities said. The blaze broke out at 435 Bellwood Avenue just after 11 a.m., Pattenburg Volunteer Fire Company officials said.
