Members of the Paramus Police Emergency Services Unit got to work after a pickup truck toppled a pole at the Oradell border on Thursday. The 22-year-old Mosquito Squad driver from Basking Ridge apparently looked down at his GPS and looked up too late to avoid hitting the curb, uprooting a fire hydrant and toppling the guy-wire pole on Oradell Avenue at Terrace Drive at 10:20 a.m. May 25, Paramus Police Sgt. Double Amputee's Sedan Plows Through Paramus Bank Fence
A sedan driven by a double amputee plowed through a wooden fence outside a Paramus bank Friday afternoon. The senior driver was fortunate that his BMW X5 lodged onto the curb, stopping just short of a drop of a few feet behind the Spencer Savings Bank on Oradell Avenue around 2:30 p.m. March 31. A brazen thief entered a Paramus home at night while the owners were upstairs, took the keys to their BMW and drove off with it, authorities said. It was at least the third time in the past several months in Paramus that a brazen burglar has gone into someone's home to snatch keys to high-end vehicles, said Police Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg, who released home security video of the theft from various angles. Woman Rescued From Rape Attempt On Busy Paramus Street
A good Samaritan rescued a Paramus woman who was tackled and pulled into the bushes on a local street in broad daylight by a would-be rapist carrying a knife, authorities said. The 35-year-old victim told police she was walking on Oradell Avenue near Wilsey Court and the Garden State Parkway when Hector W.
