27 Miles Of I-78 Reopen Almost 8 Hours After Triple Tractor-Trailer Crash
A multi-vehicle crash shuttered 27 miles of Interstate 78 for nearly eight hours on Wednesday, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. The crash involving three tractor-trailers and an SUV happened in the eastbound lanes of I-78 at milepost 49, near Route 100, in Upper Macungie Township just before 5:20 a.m. on Oct. 4, authorities said. A missing stop sign may have contributed to a multi-vehicle crash Saturday morning in Ridgewood. One of the drivers was taken by ambulance to the Valley Hospital nearby with injuries that weren't considered life-threatening. Pregnant Mom, Infant Hospitalized In Route 208 Crash
A 28-year-old pregnant driver and an infant in the back seat were involved in a multi-vehicle evening rush-hour crash on Route 208, responders said. Their injuries didn't appear serious, witnesses said. The chain-reaction collision occurred on the southbound highway at Virginia Drive shortly after 5 p.m., with the victims' Honda sedan spinning out and hitting a garage for a local garden apartment complex. Borough police and firefighters and the Fair Lawn Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded. Some of them were diverted when a rubbernecking crash occurred on the other side of the highway.

Tractor Trailer Driver Dies In Fiery Crash On I-78
A tractor trailer driver died in a fiery crash on Interstate 78 in Somerset County late Wednesday night, authorities said. The multi-vehicle crash involved two tractor trailers and occurred on the eastbound side at milepost 29.4 in Bedminster Township, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Alejandro Goez said. The driver's identity was not immediately released and further details were not available. The right lane remains closed for the accident investigation.
