At 3 a.m. police responded to a report of an aggressive driver traveling east on Route 22 near County Line Road and pulled over Michael Fittipaldi in a QuickChek parking lot, Readington police said. Pickup Truck Hauling Trailer Strikes SUV, Flees On Route 78: State Police An SUV was struck by a pickup truck hauling a trailer in a late-night hit-and-run on Route 78 on Monday, August 28, state police said. The SUV was hit from behind by a pickup truck with a trailer that fled the scene just after midnight on the eastbound side near milepost 20.4 in Lebanon Borough, NJSP SFC Philip Curry told Daily Voice. No injuries were reported, and the truck has not been identified, Curry added.

Driver Dies During Medical Emergency On Route 78 A motorist died during a medical emergency that resulted in a crash in Hunterdon County, authorities said. New Jersey State troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash on Route 78 westbound near milepost 20.2 in Lebanon Borough at 2:14 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16. Based on a preliminary investigation, the driver of a Chevy Silverado suffered a medical emergency and subsequently struck the center median guardrail, State Police said. Troopers performed life-saving measures but the driver was pronounced dead at the crash scene.  The driver's name had not been released.

Police ID Men Who They Say Dragged, Assaulted Disabled Lebanon Man In 2017 Two men have been charged in connection to an assault on a disabled man that occurred outside his Hunterdon home more than two years ago, authorities said. Stephen McDaniel, 33, of Edison and Jared Thaxton, 30, of Newark were charged with aggravated assault and accused of making terroristic threats in an incident on Nov. 1, 2017, New Jersey State Police said in a news release.
