Pilot Survives Blairstown Crash Landing A pilot was left with minor injuries after a glider plane crash landed into a Blairstown field Sunday, July 23, authorities said. Blairstown Police responded to the crash into a field near Vail Road around 2 p.m., Chief Scott Johnsen told Daily Voice. Hope Volunteer Firefighter John Kruk found the plane using a drone and contacted the pilot with help from the Blairstown Hose Company #1 and the Blairstown Ambulance Corps. Hope Volunteer firefighter extinguished the smoky blaze quickly and ensured that no exposures were damaged, the department said. The cause of the fire was not immediately clear.
