Homeowner Attacked, Suspect Nabbed In Broad Daylight Break-In: Slate Belt Police A homeowner was attacked and a suspect arrested following a broad daylight home break-in, authorities in the Slate Belt confirmed. Robert Shane Badua, 35, is accused of breaking into a home on the 500 block of Norman Road in Plainfield Township shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, Slate Belt Regional Police said. Badua forced entry through a rear dead-bolted door and damaged the door in the process, police said. A residence on South Belair Avenue in Cedar Knolls was burglarized the night of Oct. 9, Hanover Police said in a release Thursday. The homeowner — who was away at the time — was alerted by his home security system and contacted police, who responded to the home and saw that a window had been broken, the department said.
