Tree Falls On Home, Causes Fire In Warren County A home in Warren County caught fire after a tree fell on the roof Wednesday night, Sept. 13, responders said. The blaze broke out at a home on Kill Road in Knowlton Township just before 9 p.m., according to the Knowlton Township Fire and Rescue Company. The Blairstown Hose Company #1 and Portland Hook & Ladder Co. were initially dispatched but later canceled. Crews found that the fire was doused by the homeowner before their arrival and had been caused by a tree that fell on the home. Responders found the body of 66-year-old Sharon Maes in the first-floor living room of her two-story North Pleasant Avenue home after fire broke out in her kitchen oven shortly before 1 a.m., Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
