Driver Airlifted After Inhaling Chemicals, Going Into Respiratory Distress In Morris County: PD A driver was flown to a nearby hospital Wednesday, April 12 after inhaling chemicals during a mold remediation project at a Morris County basement earlier in the day, police said. Mendham Police pulled over the driver near the Mendham Village Shopping Center on East Main Street around 11:40 a.m. and “quickly learned that the driver was in respiratory distress,” Chief John S. Camoia said in a release. The distress was found to be a result of the driver “inhaling chemicals at a local residence while conducting a mold remediation in a basement,” Camoia added.
