The victim was mowing the lawn at a home on Smoke Rise Lane in Clinton when he slid down a hill, causing the mower to slide off the property and overturn around 11 a.m., Clinton Township Police said. The victim was ejected from the mower, which then landed on top of him and partially submerged him into the mud, police said. The man was freed with help from South Branch Emergency Services and taken to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital.

The man fell from his kayak due to “rough chop” at the Round Valley Recreational Area of the reservoir in Clinton just after 4 p.m. Monday, according to South Branch Emergency Services. Phillipsburg Pedestrian Struck On Route 22 Flown To Hospital With Serious Injuries A Phillipsburg man had to be flown to a local hospital after he was hit by a car on Route 22 Friday evening, Clinton Township police said. Jack Lucas, 29, was walking east on Route 22 when he was struck by a white Chevy Impala driven by Kathleen Webster of Lebanon shortly after 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 7, authorities said. Lucas sustained serious injuries and was flown to Morristown Memorial Hospital for treatment, authorities said. Webster was not injured, authorities said. This investigation is ongoing. No charges have been filed.
