Eureka Plant Based Foods on South Main Street made the announcement on its Facebook page Sept. 27.

Eureka, which opened in January 2019, was known for its vegan ‘cheezesteaks’ made with ‘roast bief,’ and many other sandwiches crafted using the brand’s signature plant-based meat substitutes like ‘hamm,’ ’turki,’ and ‘bakin.’

“It has been an incredible experience for us over the past three years with memories that will last us a lifetime,” the post says.

“We would like to thank everyone who has supported, encouraged and believed in us since we first opened our doors…We could never have achieved the success we did without all of your support along the way!”

Eureka’s last day open will be Sunday, Oct. 17 — though the business will continue in other ways, the post says.

“We will still continue to manufacture, promote and sell our Eazy Cheezy Eureka Mac,” the post says. “We also have a ton of ideas which we will share with you all after we get through our closing process.”
