Jersey City Man Charged With Assault After Car Crash: Prosecutors
A 45-year-old Jersey City man was arrested and charged after his vehicle struck another car at a high rate of speed, authorities said. Patrick Gapasin was traveling north on Routes 1 and 9 when his Infinity Q60 collided with a Honda Accord at 7:55 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 22 at the Sip Avenue intersection, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. The 60-year-old driver of the Honda Accord suffered multiple serious injuries, Suarez said. Gapasin was charged with aggravated assault and assault by auto, Suarez said.
