Police Probe Plainfield Shooting Police in Plainfield are seeking the public's help in a shooting investigation. Officers responded to the 500 block of West 3rd Street on reports of shots fired around 9:55 Sunday night, where they found the victim  a non-life threatening gunshot wound, Plainfield Police Director Lisa Burgess said. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Detective Carlos Gonzalez of the Plainfield Police Department at 908-753-3360.

N. Bergen Man Sexually Assaulted Teen Girl, Authorities Say A North Bergen man was arrested last week after he sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl who had come to the area from Washington, D.C., the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office said Monday.  North Bergen police were sent to the Fountain Motel on Paterson Plank Road around 11:45 p.m. Wednesday on a report of a sexual assault. The prosecutor's Special Victims Unit was also notified.  Carlos Gonzalez, 46, was arrested the next day and charged with sexual assault, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal sexual contact.  The prosecutor's office has asked the court for permi…
