The woman was not carrying ID while trying to cross in the local lanes of the 1000 block of Route 1&9 (Spring Street) around 11:30 p.m., City Spokeswoman Kelly Martins said.
The white female victim was pronounced dead at the hospital, responders said.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperative.
