'Most Visible Eclipse For US In 100 Years' Coming Soon
In just over a month, what's being called the astronomy event of the decade will occur when a total solar eclipse will cross North America, passing over Mexico, the United States, and Canada. European forecast models have the storm following a similar track to this week's Nor'easter. (See image 2 above.) "One particularly important piece will be a weak storm moving through the Ohio Valley and Great Lakes ahead of the big storm," AccuWe…

Groundhog Day Storm? New System Could Bring Significant Amount Of Snow
Expect Light Snow Overnight, Bigger Storm To End Workweek The chance of early week snowfall has decreased, but as the weekend nears, the area could see a Groundhog Day snowstorm. The system will be moving east from the Ohio Valley after some snow sweeps over parts of the Northeast Monday and Tuesday. The National Weather Service now says the chance for snow in the tristate area is 20 percent both of those days. But the potential exists for a significant amount of snow to arrive later in the week. "The storm may spread wintry weather over a large area from the central Plains to the…
