A 45-year-old driver from New York escaped serious injury when Monday's high winds knocked a tree onto her sedan near the state line in Upper Saddle River. Firefighters from Upper Saddle River and Mahwah freed the alert trapped motorist from the 2023 Toyota Corolla following the 2:10 p.m. March 11 crash on Weiss Road at Maple Road, Police Capt. Two small tornados touched down in New Jersey and Pennsylvania amid thunderstorms Friday, June 16, the National Weather Service confirmed, The both were EF-0 twisters: One in Pemberton (Burlington County, NJ), and the other in West Caln Township (Chester County, PA). A 36-year-old Ocean County native was among two dozen people killed in a Tennessee tornadoTuesday morning. Jamie Smith, a graduate of Jackson Memorial High School, owned an office cleaning company and lived near Nashville with her 8-year-old son, Logan, NJ.com reports. Lightning ignited a fire when it struck a Ramsey home, a tree crashed into a Glen Rock house and flash floods were reported throughout North Jersey during Friday's thunderstorm.
