Middletown Route 35 Closed, Pole Fire, Wires Down Route 35 in Monmouth County was closed in both directions at rush-hour due to power lines down, authorities said. All lanes were closed between Harmony Road and New Monmouth Road in Middletown starting at about 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday because of electric poles on fire, reports said.
