Stolen Car Driver Charged With Assault In Route 17 Crash That Injured Two
UPDATE: A driver was charged with two counts of assault by auto after she rear-ended a car on Route 17 in Ridgewood with a stolen sedan, authorities said. Mille Sauvan, 44, remained at Hackensack University Medical Center in police custody on Monday after responders said they found a crack pipe in the stolen Lexus following Saturday morning’s crash on the southbound highway. Packed Garbage Truck Tips On Route 17 Ramp
A fully loaded garbage truck tipped over on a Route 17 exit ramp late Wednesday morning. The driver was hospitalized with back and neck injuries after climbing from the rig, which rolled onto its side on the ramp from southbound Route 17 onto eastbound Linwood Avenue in Ridgewood by the Stop & Shop at the Paramus border shortly after 11 a.m. Ridgewood police, firefighters and EMS were joined by Paramus police. SUV Full Of Corn Snacks Slams Into Tree, Rolls In Ridgewood
A driver carrying an SUV full of corn snacks escaped a rollover crash in Ridgewood without serious injury Tuesday night. The driver was alone when his Subaru slammed into a tree and rolled just off the corner of Linwood Avenue and North Walnut Street near Graydon Park shortly after 9:30 p.m. Several bags of Love Corn snacks carried in dozens of boxes spilled out the back. Kind, Generous Fair Lawn Grandfather Dies
Tributes continued to mount as news spread of the death of a beloved 75-year-old Fair Lawn man over the weekend. Andrew Feci, 75, was pronounced dead at the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, where his wife works, after he went into cardiac arrest behind the wheel of his SUV on Saturday. Andy Feci had a strong mind, a soft heart and a constant smile, those who knew him said. He was "kind, generous and would do anything for anyone," a family friend wrote in tribute. SUV Driver Suffers Critical Medical Episode At Route 17 Exit
A driver whose SUV crashed off Route 17 in Ridgewood Saturday afternoon apparently suffered a medical episode beforehand, responders said. The Kia Sportage came to rest against a wall on the northbound exit ramp to Linwood Avenue around 3 p.m. Responders conducted CPR before the gravely injured driver was brought to The Valley Hospital in Village police, firefighters and EMS and a Valley EMS unit responded.
