13-Year-Old Crashes Stolen Car Carrying Teens In Monmouth County: Police The search was on in Monmouth County for a 13-year-old boy who was riding in a stolen vehicle being driven by a 13-year-old girl that crashed over the weekend, police said. Holmdel officers were trying to stop the stolen car on Laurel Avenue around 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, near Highway 35, when the driver stopped then sped off, police said. The vehicle then crashed on Middle Road, at the intersection of Laurel Avenue, and officers were able to apprehend two of the occupants, both 13-year-old girls from Neptune. The crash occurred before 9 a.m. on Friday, March 4 on Laurel Avenue by the railroad bridge in Holmdel, initial reports said. Fire control was requested for traffic control. Police Look For Hit-Run Driver Who Injured Bicyclist In Holmdel Police are looking for the motorist who struck a bicyclist and then fled the scene. The bicyclist suffered a leg injury and was taken to Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel police said. The crash occurred at 5:35 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Highway 35 and Laurel Avenue, police said. The bicyclist was trying to cross Highway 35 in a marked crosswalk when the car made an improper right turn onto Highway 35 and struck the bike, police said. Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to call Holmdel police at 732-946-4400.
