The Far Hills-Bedminster Fire Department Sunday put out a car fire that broke out on eastbound I-78, the department said in a statement.
Firefighters found the vehicle on the left shoulder, where it had touched off a brush fire. The main blaze was quickly contained but firefighters had to apply fire-suppressing foam to the highway after spilled fuel ignited.
There were no immediate reports of injuries.
