A senior driver suffered a severe leg injury when her sedan slammed into a utility pole Tuesday afternoon in Glen Rock. Borough police and EMS workers tended to the victim after her Toyota Corolla rammed the pole on Prospect Street near Saddle River Park. A 14-year-old boy from Ridgewood who was struck on his bicycle at a Glen Rock intersection was expected to survive serious injuries, authorities said. A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash involving a garbage truck in Ridgewood. The collision occurred at the corner of North Monroe Street and dead-ended Woodfield Court around 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29. Ridgewood Firefighters Free Driver In Rollover Crash
Ridgewood firefighters extricated a driver who was trapped after her SUV got knocked onto its side in a collision Wednesday afternoon. The woman was hospitalized after her Subaru Forester collided with a Hyundai Santa Fe on East Glen Avenue at Corona Place around 2:30 p.m. Paramedics from the Valley Hospital joined the Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps and village police and firefighters at the scene. : Ridgewood Firefighters Rescue Construction Worker Who Fell 20 Feet Into Basement
Firefighters rescued a worker who fell 20 or so feet off a ladder Monday morning into the basement of a new home under construction in Ridgewood. Rescuers brought a Stokes basket and ropes along after the 10:30 a.m. mishap on North Monroe Street. After they got him out through a window well, the Ridgewood Volunteer Ambulance Corps rushed the 28-year-old worker to the trauma unit at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center in Paterson.
