ID Released For Woman Found Dead In Town Of Poughkeepsie DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -  A woman found dead inside a Poughkeepsie apartment on Thursday has been identified as 49-year-old Jill Meltzer, said Town of Poughkeepsie police. Meltzer was found after police received a call about 4:50 p.m. for a welfare check at the Hudson Harbour Apartments on South Road, said Lt. Gary Hulbert. Camera Footage Leads To Arrest After Thefts From Parked Cars In Stony Point ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Rockland man was nabbed for grand larceny on Thursday after an investigation into the theft of wallets and other items from a vehicle in Stony Point, police said. Antonio Burch-Pena, 29, of Stony Point was arrested after being caught on surveillance taking the items from a car parked in front of the Deli Central on South Liberty Drive on Aug. 3, said Lt. Daniel Hylas.  He was charged with felony grand larceny and two counts of criminal possession of stolen property, Hylas said. Joseph Smith III, 46, was found around 8 p.m. in the sixth-floor stairwell after officers responded to a call of shots fired at 100 Manhattan Ave., said Capt. Frank Farina.
