Authorities are investigating a crash that killed a 65-year-old woman on Route 46 in Bergen County on Sunday, Dec. 15. The incident occurred around 9:11 p.m. when Vilma Huamani-Centeno, of Bloomfield, was struck by a vehicle while attempting to cross the highway in the eastbound lanes, according to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella. A suicidal man was hospitalized after responders said he deliberately walked into Route 46 traffic in Little Falls early Monday afternoon. The 33-year-old man, who they said spoke only Spanish, was struck near the Browertown Road exit -- apparently after some type of domestic incident -- shortly before 1 p.m. May 6.
