A late-night traffic stop that began with a discarded pizza box ended with the discovery of a stolen handgun, hollow-point bullets, and a stash of prescription pills inside a car in Lyndhurst, authorities said.
The stop happened around 12:14 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, when Officers Robert Litterio and Michael LeStrange saw a pizza box fly out the window of a Volkswagen Jetta parked near a business at Rutherford Avenue and Orient Way, according to Detective Capt. Vincent Auteri.

Authorities have identified the 70-year-old man who was killed in a Moonachie shed fire that left his wife injured.
Ida Kaba was pronounced dead at the scene following the 4:30 p.m. blaze Thursday, April 10 at the Oak Street home, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
Fire crews from Moonachie and Wood-Ridge, along with other neighboring departments, responded to the scene. When they got there, they found a shed on fire in the backyard, and Kaba down near the entrance, Musella said.
