Man, 33, Killed By Car Trying To Cross Route 3 In East Rutherford, Police Say A 33-year-old man was struck and killed by a car on Route 3 Thursday night, Sept. 26, police said. Officers were called to the eastbound lanes of the highway at midnight where the pedestrian had been struck by a 2004 Toyota Camry while trying to cross the highway, ERPD Capt. Jeff Yannacone said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing.
