The woman was taken to the Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, while the four occupants of the other car, including two children, were attended to at the scene.
An initial investigation determined that the Hyundai SUV was headed north on Kinderkamack Road when it was struck by a Ford sedan headed east on Washington Avenue around 3:20 p.m., police said.
