Van for developmentally disabled crashes in Washington Township, 4 taken to hospital

YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: Four occupants of van, at least three of whom apparently are developmentally disabled, were hospitalized this morning following a crash in Washington Township.

A Honda Civic driven by a woman with a male passenger apparently rear-ended the Spectrum for Living van at the intersection of Ridgewood Road and Colonial Boulevard shortly after 8:30 a.m.

Washington Township police, along with township EMS and a paramedic unit from The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood responded.

Injuries initially didn’t appear serious.
