“There was a date, and she was planning on returning but never did,” a source with direct knowledge of the disappearance of 30-year-old Meaghan “Meg” Elizabeth McCallum ten days ago.
McCallum has a long history of mental illness, is bi-ploar and stopped taking her medication, authorities said.
Loved ones fear this may have played a role in her disappearance after leaving her grandmother’s house in Montvale around 3 a.m. March 10 (a week ago Wednesday).
“We were really concerned right away because Meg goes everywhere with her dog. They are attached at the hip,” her mother, Heidi McCallum, told News 12. “She even takes her dog to work with her. So right away, we felt there was something not right.”

The fact that no one has reported seeing her black, 1998 four-door Subaru Impreza sedan (NJ license plate: N32 EAY) has led investigators to suspect it was parked privately and hasn’t moved (see car photo, below).
Family members, friends and strangers alike are doing all they can to spread the word.
Leaflets were being distributed to post offices, shopping centers and other public places.

Meg is 5-foot-5 inches tall and 210 pounds. She has dark brown hair and brown eyes.
