Garfield pizza deliveryman charged in sex tryst with girl, 11

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 30-year-old Mexican national living in Garfield was arrested yesterday and charged with having sex with an 11-year-old girl several times over the past five months.

Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said members of his Special Victims Unit arrested Eduardo Romero of Grand Street after the girl told a relative — who notified the state Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P) and Garfield police.

Romero, a pizza deliverman, was being held on $100,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, charged with sexual assault and child endangerment.

An arraignment was scheduled for March 26.
