Glen Rock Hockey Fans Prep For State Finals GLEN ROCK, N.J. — The Glen Rock High School varsity boys hockey team will take on Ramsey in the state finals Monday, March 7 at Prudential Center in Newark. The puck drops at 6:30 p.m. as the Panthers and Rams try to capture a championship. Glen Rock played as the No. 2 seed in the bracket and topped Central Regional, Northern Highlands, Chatham and Mahwah before reaching the finals. Wyckoff Beekeeper Thrives With Hives WYCKOFF, N.J. — Richard Schluger of Wyckoff heard the buzz about beekeeping and had to try it for himself. Schluger started studying the world of bees around a decade ago and now maintains four different hives. "They're very interesting," he told Daily Voice. Hawthorne 106-Year-Old Still Going Strong HAWTHORNE, N.J. — People always ask 106-year-old Susie Rothwell about her secret to a long life. "It's really no secret," Rothwell told Daily Voice. Elmwood Park Three-Sport Athlete Does It All ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. — Sammy Santos of Elmwood Park keeps himself busy. The high school senior plays football, baseball and wrestles for the Crusaders all while working a part-time job at The Venetian in Garfield. It can be hard to find time for it all, Santos said, but he just has to make the time. Off-Duty Paterson Police Officer Shot At People, Prosecutor Charges PATERSON, N.J. — Passaic County prosecutor's detectives arrested a Paterson police officer on Friday on charged that he fired his gun at two people outside a 7-Eleven while off-duty. Dante Gordon, 25, of Paterson, pointed his gun at a Wanaque man and fired his gun once around 1:20 a.m. Feb. 25 at the intersection of Main and Market streets, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Services Scheduled For Lodi Honorary Firefighter, 5 LODI, N.J. — Services for a 5-year-old Lodi honorary firefighter who died after nearly a year of treatment for brain tumors were scheduled for Saturday at St. Francis Church in Hackensack. Dariel Ramirez, also known as Deej, died Thursday at Hackensack University Medical Center. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with a Mass at 1 p.m. at the church, 50 Lodi St. Dariel was a kindergartner at Roosevelt Elementary School in Lodi.
