Port Authority police revive elderly heart attack victim at Newark Airport baggage carousel

SHOUT OUTS: A group of Port Authority police officers revived a 74-year-old Texas man who had no pulse after suffering a heart attack at Newark Airport yesterday.

The victim was lying down at the Terminal C baggage carousel around 3:30 p.m. when officers shocked him twice with a defibrillator and did chest compressions while keeping his airway open, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo said this morning.

He then began breathing on his and was taken, conscious and alert, to Newark Beth Israel Hospital.
