PARAMUS, N.J. -- Ruth M. (Lown) Girodo, a Paramus resident and formerly a longtime River Edge resident, died Tuesday, Jan. 26. She was 92.
Born in North Bergen, Girodo worked as a secretary for many years after graduation from Union Hill High School. She and her husband were very active at Grove Reformed Church for more than 50 years.
Girodo is survived by her daughter, Carol Tulloch and her husband Jim; grandsons Brian Tulloch and his wife Stacy and Kevin Tulloch; great-grandchildren Lucas and Cooper Tulloch; and special nieces Rosalie Mocco and Joan Taylor-Adragna.
She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Henry; parents Arnold and Elizabeth Lown; and siblings Eva and Robert.
Visiting hours will be from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 S. Farview Ave., Paramus. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Friday, followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service at the Grove Reformed Church, 1132 46th St., North Bergen. Interment will be at Grove Church Cemetery in North Bergen.
