PARAMUS, N.J. — Shoppers will soon have a new Amazon Books store to check out at Paramus' Garden State Plaza.

Amazon Books has plans to create 2,500 jobs in New Jersey, starting with a store coming to the Garden State Plaza sometime this year.

The New Jersey store is one of five set to open in 2017, with others coming to Massachusetts, Illinois and New York City.

Amazon hopes to create 100,000 more jobs by mid-2018, with 2,500 based in New Jersey, the company said in a press release.
